Information about Strangulation/Attempted Strangulation

Strangulation that occurs during interpersonal violence is a serious offense, even when it is not fatal. Because the signs of strangulation are not always obvious, and the victim may not know the extent of their injuries, it's important for law enforcement to know the signs and be able to ask effective questions.
